Since September 2023, MK Chorale has been raising money for - and awareness of - UnityMK, a local homelessness charity dedicated to helping people at their point of crisis. Previously known as Winter Night Shelter Milton Keynes, UnityMK supports individuals and families who are at risk of homelessness, whatever their background or circumstances.
On Saturday 6th July, at The Venue, Walton High School, MK Chorale will be performing their Musical Menagerie concert in support of UnityMK for the last time this season.
MK Play Association Providing Free Children's Activities
The fun begins at 1.30 pm with free craft activities hosted by MK Play Association, with A Musical Menagerie, an entertaining performance of stories and poems about animals set to music, starting at 2.30 pm. Amongst other delightful and humorous pieces, audience members will hear the story of 'Captain Noah and His Floating Zoo' and a wonderful rendition of 'The Wind in the Willows', the much-loved story about Rat, Mole, Badger, and Toad, with gorgeous music by Sir John Rutter.
Free Under 12s Tickets!
It's a concert suitable for all ages with adult tickets costing just £15 and under 12s going for free. Tickets can be bought from The Venue's website here: https://www.thevenuemk.com/event/a-musical-menagerie/and when choosing, ticket type 'Under 12' can be selected to obtain free entry for younger audience members!
