Milton Keynes Roller Dance Club took an impressive team of nine with them to the East Anglian Open Competition on Sunday 14thJuly 2024.
For four of the team, Bettie McSweeney, Matthew Broad, Neve Kelly, and Stephanie Herring, it was their first competition, and their performances didn’t disappoint, with Bettie winning a Gold for her effortless Arabesque and Sequence.
Leona Lovelace gladly accepted a Bronze medal for her beautiful Glide Waltz and City Blues dances. Next up was our International selected skater Millie Howe, who got a well deserved Bronze medal for her stunning 14 Step Plus and Flirtation Waltz dances. Coach Julie Molloy, also took to the rink, to dance her Canasta Tango and Denver Shuffle.
Finally, team trio ‘Milton Keynes Rubies’, Demi Chapman, Mahi Mishra, and Stephanie Herring succeeded in gaining Silver medals for their hard efforts with Arabesque and Edges, City Blues, and Skaters March dances. All in all, a terrific effort from all of our skaters, with nine skaters bringing home a whopping six medals and one trophy. A big thank you to our wonderful Coaches who attended, Anneli and Lee Chambers.
