The Pharmacy team exhibited an interactive table, helping students to understand more about the team’s work and potential career opportunities at the Trust.
Cat Hamdan, Careers Coordinator at Denbigh School, said: “Denbigh’s fourth Careers Festival was our biggest yet and it was fabulous to see so many students engaging with the exhibitors in school.
“I was pleased that MKUH were able to attend – not only are they a major employer in the city, but a popular career choice with our students who seek work experiences at the hospital at various times of the year. I would like to thank Zainab Ahmad, Staci Drewe, Holly Patterson, Kelly Errington, and Jo Booth for visiting us and I look forward to working with them again.”
Staci Drewe, Senior Pharmacy Technician, added: “We had an amazing time at a school careers event! It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm from the students. They really enjoyed the hands – on tasks, and we received some great feedback. We’re looking forward to the next event just around the corner.”
MKUH has been very active in secondary schools over the past few years, engaging with 5,000 students during 2023/24.
