Milton Keynes Table Tennis Centre is calling out for people to take up the sport for all things positive!
The non for profit organisation is a purpose built centre based at Winchester Circle, Kingston Centre, purely for table tennis and is the perfect space to unwind with a game of the popular sport.
Julie Snowdon is the club secretary and is very keen to invite new people to play.
''We’re on a mission to get more of our lovely MK community playing table tennis! It's a brilliant sport for all ages and abilities, affordable and great fun! It really doesn’t matter whether you’ve played the game before, anyone can pick up a bat and have a really great time. Table tennis is the perfect activity to keep you happy, healthy and in good spirits. Why? Well it doesn’t only keep your body fit, it keeps your brain fit too. All the complicated hand-eye coordination works its magic with brain cells and can help prevent dementia.
We have friendly and welcoming open sessions 3 mornings a week, plus Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, as well as Thursday Junior sessions, league matches, tournaments and occasional special sessions – but we’d like to offer a whole lot more! We’d be really happy to run sessions for particular groups of people such as those living with dementia or long term health conditions, so would urge any such local groups to get in contact with us.''
No previous experience is required, they have something available for EVERYONE! So what are you waiting for!?
