A playpark in Tattenhoe has received some much-needed TLC thanks to a local collaboration between Conservative councillors and Michael Broderick of Extreme Clean Solutions.
The Langerstone Lane Play Park, a family-favourite park in the area, found itself in urgent need of cleaning and care.
Conservative Cllrs, Maneesh Verma and James Lancaster, alongside community champion Shazna Muzammil reached out to residents, MK Council and Shenley Brook End Parish Council to find ways to inject life back into the park.
But the support came from a local company, Extreme Clean Solutions Ltd, led by Michael Broderick, who volunteered their time and equipment, free of cost, to clean up the entire park. Shenley Brook End Parish was very supportive of this effort and helped Shazna and Michael to make this happen.
After two days of washing the play park, it has now been restored to its former glory and together, they hope that residents can now enjoy the play park safely.
Michael Broderick said:
“The play parks are a vital part of our community and the children love using it. When I heard that Shazna needed help restoring this park, I had to do anything that I could to help out. Shazna is very passionate about her community and it was nice to work with her and the Parish Council on this.”
Shazna Muzammil, Tattenhoe community champion, added:
“For me it is all about working for the community and making sure we can support the residents as best as we can. Kids need a safe place to play and there’s still so much that we can do which is why if I’m elected in May, upgrading our playparks is a top priority.”
Cllr James Lancaster, said:
“We will continue to do what we can to support our community. Litter picking, street cleaning and improving our play areas. Residents know that if they get in touch with us, we will support them with their local issues.”
